The Lux Organization is a sacred music choral organization from Utah County. Established in 2014, the critically-acclaimed choral society hosts 7-9 performances each season, including the Lux Guest Artist Series, A Lux Christmas, and Lux Easter Devotions, in addition to regular appearances at interfaith music tributes and services. Under the direction of Mr. Leland Spindler, Lux currently consists of three adult ensembles: the Lux Men’s Chorus, the Lux Women’s Chorus, and the flagship ensemble, the Lux Singers. Because the Lux Organization values giving back to the choral community and inspiring the choral singers of tomorrow, Lux regularly performs clinics and exchanges with school and church choirs around the Intermountain West.
Established in 2014, the Lux Singers is the flagship ensemble of the Lux Organization. Consisting of 27-33 professional-level vocalists, Lux Singers specializes in singing unaccompanied chamber music by composers of liturgical and religious music. Their literature includes masterpieces of sacred music from the renaissance era to contemporary works. As the touring ensemble for the Lux Organization, they perform regularly at both churches and concert halls alike, including Libby Gardner Concert Hall, Ely Cathedral, the Eccles Theater, Cathedral of the Madeleine, and the Historic Tabernacle on Temple Square. Lux Singers regularly collaborates with other artists including projects with acclaimed violinist Jenny Oaks Baker, gentleman’s trio Gentri, composer David Zabriskie, folk band Molly In The Mineshaft, and renowned conductor Craig Jessop. Sought after for interfaith events throughout the Intermountain West, Lux Singers was privileged to perform at the General Convention of the Episcopal Church in Salt Lake City in 2015, as well as many other conventions and conferences both musical and religious. The Lux Singers have released three CDs: Pray, He Is Listening, and Risen!, and A Savior Is Born.
